The responsibility of owning a horse is something that many horse owners both young and young at heart take very seriously.
As a high school teacher I have learned patience, creativity and perseverance. These traits are critical in the training of a horse. The ability to gain the horses trust and confidence without breaking the horses spirit of a horse is critical in the successful training of a horse.
The conditional response method of training coupled with creativity (the changing of lessons based of accomplishments), patience (keep the end goal in sight and planning for it) and persistence (working with different lessons with high repetitions to eventually achieve the end goal) will provide your horse with long term positive abilities versus short term results based on harsh training tactics.
Patrick Fox’s National Trail Riding Academy trains the horse to be safely ridden, but also trains the rider to ride the horse safely. I will not train one without the others participation.
